“Psalt-E” is a singer, songwriter, worship leader, and rapper from Fort Hood, Texas.  At age 5, her family relocated to Rochester, New York, then moved to Syracuse, NY where she currently resides.  Her name, Psalt-E (pronounced “salty”), includes a deep spiritual influence coming from the scripture Matthew 5:13 – “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?”

Psalt-E celebrates her “psaltiness” by paying homage to God for preserving her unique flavor that she almost eradicated trying to fit into conformity and the standards of this world.  Psalt-E has since honed in on her authentic self and spends every day as a living testimony transparently sharing this truth.  Psalt-E’s musical background spans over a wide range of genres from classical and Jazz to Christian, pop, and R&B.   She released her first single #DCMO (Don’t Count Me Out) in 2016.  This fun anthem reminds people not to count out the good work that God has begun and promises to complete in us.

In 2019 she released her debut album THE PSALT EP.   Her 6-song rap and urban inspirational EP includes her hit single “Conqueror” that she performs with a deliberate flow of hard-hitting lyrics boasting the confidence and faith we should have in Christ and ourselves.

Psalt-E became the first African-American Christian Hip Hop artist to represent the Syracuse, NY chapter at the Gospel Music Workshop of America National convention. In 2019 Psalt-E had the honor of using her gifts of Praise and Worship to open for Gospel Legend Luther Barnes.  She is a two-time Gospel Choice Music Award nominee, a 2021 Gospel Hip-Hop Award nominee, and won the 2019 Pressing Towards Your Vision – Holy Hip-Hop artist of the year award.  She also picked up a 2021 Prayze Factor Award for Rhythm and Gospel Solo Artist of the year.   In addition, The Gospel Industry Network recently awarded her the 2021 Regional Artist Choice Award.  Psalt-E was voted top artist among 32 YouTube entries from groups, choirs, and soloists representing their region from Traditional, Contemporary, Worship, Rap, and Quartet Gospel genres.

Psalt-E focuses on inspiring the world with her music.  Her lyrics convey the beauty of loving yourself just as you are created to be while knowing that someone will love you unconditionally no matter how imperfect you are.
